Responsibilities


The Human Resources Department is responsible for:
  • Ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, labor contracts, and federal and state employment laws
  • Providing guidance and direction to management and employees in all human resources functions
  • Supporting the goals and key objectives of City Council to fulfill the City’s workplace needs as economic conditions continue to change
The Human Resources staff is fully committed to providing the support and services needed to facilitate recruitment, staffing, benefits, payroll, development and training, risk management, safety, and labor relations. This includes maintaining effective working relationships with all city departments, outside organizations, and the general public.
