Sunnyside Daybreak Rotary Club adopted this project in 2015, and after years of fundraising and planning, they completed their project in 2021. Officially breaking ground on October 15, 2021 and completing the project in late November 2021. Constructed by Evergreen Skate Parks. 

Daybreak Rotary fundraised $360,000 for the completion of this project through their annual Ale Fest and a donation from The Fred and Ann Whitney Family Foundation. The City of Sunnyside supported the completion of this project with a donation of $34,292, approved by City Council on 11/22/2021. 

The Skate Park is located on 559 South 4th St., just behind the municipal pool. It is open from dawn to dusk each day.
