Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
Sunnyside, WA- On Tuesday December 1 shortly before 2 pm, Sunnyside Police Officer TJ Orth initiated a traffic stop on a 2000 silver Chevy Malibu with a defective windshield. The driver, Jose S. Gonzalez, DOB 11/08/1984 was driving with a suspended license and had two warrants for his arrest. He was taken into custody at that time. The front seat passenger, Carlos J. Rocha Flores, DOB 04/07/1981 also had a warrant for his arrest. He was also taken into custody at that time. The rear seat passenger, Pedro Flores Baltazar, DOB 02/12/1981 had multiple warrants for his arrest, in his possession officers found two 45 caliber unfired bullets. In the area Baltazar was sitting in the car another 4 unfired bullets were found. Baltazar was taken into custody for investigation of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Officers obtained a search warrant and with that found a scale, two small baggies of marijuana and a loaded 45 caliber Springfield Arms 1911.
