Fraud

Sunnyside, WA- Wednesday December 30^th, Sunnyside Police responded to a call from a local grocery store regarding a possible fraud in progress. The suspect, Guadalupe I. Garcia DOB 04/06/1966, had been known by the business to be passing bad checks to them recently and was there to cash another check. Garcia was taken into custody by Sunnyside Police Officers and transported to the Sunnyside City Jail. Upon further investigation it was found that Garcia had been passing a number of bad checks to two Sunnyside businesses, totaling over $3,500. The checks are from an account in his name and made out to him.
