Residential Burglary Arrests Made
Sunnyside, WA- On October 7th at approximately 3:30 pm Officer Skip Lemmon responded to a burglary in the 600 block of Sunnyside Ave. The victim reported extensive damage to the interior of her residence and various items stolen. The estimated damages totaled near $30,000.
Thorough investigation led Sunnyside Police to a 16 year old male who resides in the neighborhood. The suspect was taken into custody on October 8th, booked into the Sunnyside City Jail and transported to Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center and was arraigned in Yakima County Juvenile Court on Friday afternoon on charges of Residential Burglary and Malicious Mischief. Additional investigation showed that the 16 year old male had two accomplices and charges on the two additional juvenile males, both 17 years of age, will be forwarded to the Yakima County Prosecutor’s Office.
