Bank Robbery

Sunnyside, WA- At 0940 this morning Sunnyside Police responded to a bank robbery in the 800 block of East Edison Ave in Sunnyside. The suspect, Rios Orosco, Gerardo entered the Yakima Federal Savings and Loan in Sunnyside approached a teller and demanded an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed. The teller complied with the suspect’s request and he fled on foot. Sunnyside Police Officer Anthony Russell located the suspect in the area of 8^th and Decatur Ave, with assistance from Officer Skip Lemmon, Detective Jim Ortiz and Chief Ed Radder the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Sunnyside City Jail where he is being held on 1^st degree Robbery charges.
