Animal Control

Due to budget cuts, the City of Sunnyside's 2008 contract with the Humane Society of Central Washington expired November 30, 2008.  However, the cities of Grandview, Prosser, and Sunnyside have formed a unique partnership and negotiated an interlocal agreement allowing them to contract with the Humane Society for animal control services.  The agreement is expected to be in place by late March/early April.

Yakima Health District

Each summer, the Yakima Health District looks for crows, ravens, or magpies who have died within the last 24 hours of no apparent trauma.  If you find such a bird, please contact the Yakima Health District immediately at (509) 249-6550.
