WATER FEES

Residential Water Service(1" thru 2")

The cost to connect to city water is based upon the size of the water meter as well as the distance from the watermain to the location of the water meter box.   Based on a 40'-0" distance, the cost for a 1" service would be approximately $1,500.00.  This includes, the meter and all materials and labor.  The cost of all new services is determined by the most current material prices by the Public Works Dept. In addition to the installation cost,  there is an equity fee of $500.00. For connections involving meters larger than two inch(2"), the water system equity fee shall be as determined below.

Commercial & Industrial Water Service

The cost to connect to city water is based upon the size of the water meter as well as the distance from the watermain to the water meter box.   Based on a 40'-0" distance, the cost for a 1" service would be approximately $1,500.00.  This includes, the meter and all materials and labor.  The cost of all new services is determined by the most current material prices by the Public Works Dept.  In addition to the installation cost,  there is a water system equity fees for commercial and industrial connections shall be the larger of (1) $500.00; (b) $.05 per square feet of the building or structure to which the water connection is being made; or (c) $3.00 per gallon of demand, based upon the size of the water meter.

 

SEWER FEES

The City of Sunnyside does not install sewer services.  Work must be done by a licensed contractor.

Sewer connection equity fees shall be charged according to the following schedule for connecting to the city’s sanitary sewer:

Equity Fee Schedule.

1.  Residential

Single-family residential dwelling unit.............$400.00

2.  Duplex and multi-dwelling unit, apartment, mobile    home park .....$450.00 basic equity fee plus

$.08 per foot of living space.

3.  Commercial

   $450.00 basic equity fee plus $.05 per square foot of building floor space.      Increases in building floor space shall result in an additional charge of $.05 per square foot for the additional building floor space.

4.  Industrial

     $450.00 basic equity fee plus $.10 per square foot of the building or structure to which the sewer connection is being made.  Increases in building floor space shall result in an additional charge of $.10 per square foot for the additional building floor space.

 

CURB, GUTTER, & SIDEWALK FEES

Curb and Gutter-

$25.00 for the first 50 lineal feet of curb & gutter and $0.25 for each additional foot.

Sidewalk-

$25.00 for the first 250 square feet of sidewalk and $0.05 for each additional square foot.

CURB CUTS

Curb cuts are allowed only with City of Sunnyside Public Works Dept. approval.

The cost is $25.00 per cut.

Street Cut Deposit

The Street Cut Deposit is based on square feet of asphalt being removed.
